Colorado Avalanche Acquire Defenseman Nick Blankenburg from Nashville Predators in Trade Deal

Blankenburg, 27, has had a successful season with the Predators, setting career highs in goals and assists. He has been a valuable contributor on the ice, particularly on the power play, where he has scored three goals this season.
Blankenburg has played in 164 NHL games between the Predators and the Columbus Blue Jackets, accumulating 55 points. In addition to his NHL experience, he has also played in the American Hockey League for the Cleveland Monsters and Milwaukee Admirals, where he recorded 21 points. Blankenburg's hockey journey began at the University of Michigan, where he played collegiately and served as team captain during his senior season. Before his college career, he played in the Alberta Junior Hockey League with the Okotoks Oilers.
