Frank Biancuzzo, the president of Hearst Media Production Group (HMPG) since its establishment in 2021, is set to retire from the company in mid-2026. Biancuzzo, who has been with Hearst Television for 31 years, played a crucial role in the growth and success of HMPG. His strategic thinking and leadership have made a lasting impact on the company, according to Hearst Television president Michael J. Hayes. During his tenure at HMPG, Biancuzzo focused on expanding original content, production, and distribution, leading to the company's expansion into unscripted entertainment programming. HMPG now reaches over 17 million weekly viewers with 85 original series available across various platforms in more than 100 countries. Before his role at HMPG, Biancuzzo held various positions within Hearst Television, including executive vice president and group head, where he oversaw the company's television and radio stations.

Prior to his time at HMPG, Biancuzzo served as the president and general manager of WISN-TV, the Hearst Television ABC station in Milwaukee. Under his leadership, WISN became America's top ABC affiliate in primetime audience delivery and received a George Foster Peabody Award for Investigative Journalism. Biancuzzo's career also includes roles in local television news production, marketing, and general management, showcasing his diverse skill set and experience in the industry.

Throughout his career, Biancuzzo has been recognized for his contributions to the industry, winning awards such as Gold Medallions from Promax/BDA, Emmy Awards, and a World Medal from the New York International Festival. He has also been named an Outstanding Alumni from the University of Wisconsin and has been actively involved in industry organizations such as the CBS Affiliate Board and the ABC Affiliate Board. Biancuzzo's retirement marks the end of an era at HMPG, but his legacy and impact on the company will continue to be felt for years to come.
