The Match Factory Secures International Sales for Award-Winning Berlinale Films Queen at Sea and Rose
The Match Factory has secured numerous sales for the acclaimed Berlinale films Queen at Sea directed by Lance Hammer and Rose directed by Markus Schleinzer. Queen at Sea, a poignant family drama about dementia, received the Silver Bear Jury Prize and a Silver Bear for Best Supporting Performance. It has been acquired by various territories including the UK & Ireland, Poland, Benelux, South Korea, Switzerland, Greece, Portugal, Former Yugoslavia, the Baltics, Taiwan, and Latam. The film is a production of The Bureau and is produced by Tristan Goligher and Lance Hammer.
Markus Schleinzer's Rose, starring Sandra Hüller, which won the Silver Bear for Best Leading Performance, has also seen strong sales. The film has been sold to France, Spain, Benelux, Poland, South Korea, Denmark, Sweden, Iceland, Norway, Finland, Hungary, Portugal, Greece, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Bulgaria, Former Yugoslavia, Middle East, North Africa, Israel, and the Baltics. It will also be distributed in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. Rose is a collaborative production between Austria and Germany, involving Schubert, Row Pictures, and Walker + Worm Film, with producers Johannes Schubert, Philipp Worm, Tobias Walker, and Karsten Stöter.
Negotiations for additional territories for both films are currently in progress. The Match Factory continues to expand the reach of these award-winning films to audiences around the world.
