Chris Pine and Michael Chaves Team Up for Survival Thriller 'Yeti' on Netflix
Michael Chaves, the director of The Conjuring: Last Rites, has teamed up with Chris Pine for a new survival thriller called Yeti, set to be released on Netflix. The movie follows a father and daughter fighting to survive against a predator unleashed by an avalanche in the Alps. The cast also includes Iona Bell, Ray Winstone, and Sofia Boutella.
Originally planned at Sony Pictures, Yeti found its home at Netflix last year. The script was written by Peter Gaffney and Sean Tretta, with Erik Feig and Jessica Switch producing for Picturestart. Chris Pine is also an executive producer on the project.
Chris Pine, known for his roles in Carousel and the upcoming rom-com The Catch, will star alongside Iona Bell, who recently appeared in Fing! at Sundance. Ray Winstone, recognized for his work in films like The Departed and Damsel, will also be part of the cast. Sofia Boutella, known for her roles in Rebel Moon and The Killer's Game, will join the ensemble.
