Sammy Hagar and Rick Springfield Summer Tour 2022: Dates, Setlist, and Special Guests
Sammy Hagar has announced a series of eight tour dates scheduled for June, with Rick Springfield joining as support for six of the shows. The tour will kick off on June 13 at the Hollywood Casino Amphitheater in St. Louis and will conclude with two nights at the MGM National Harbor in Oxon Hill, Maryland on June 26 and 27. The band lineup includes Michael Anthony on bass, Joe Satriani on guitar, Kenny Aronoff on drums, and keyboardist Greg Phillinganes for all performances.
The setlist for the tour will feature songs from various stages of Hagar's career, including tracks from his time with Van Halen, solo releases, Montrose songs, and Chickenfoot hits. Michael Anthony will take on lead vocals for the song "Ain't Talkin' 'Bout Love" during the performances. Hagar and Springfield have a long history together, with Springfield covering Hagar's 1978 track "I've Done Everything for You" in 1981, which became a Top 10 hit.
In addition to the June tour dates, Hagar will also be performing a Vegas residency at Dolby Live at Park MGM in March and September. He will also have a UK run in July and a show at Full Throttle Saloon in Sturgis, South Dakota in August. Hagar has hinted at a potential collaboration with David Lee Roth in the future. The tour announcement comes after Hagar expressed his condolences for the passing of Bob Weir on January 10, noting their close birthdays.
