Search Underway for Missing Mother and Daughter After Severe Storms in Major County, Oklahoma
Authorities in northern Oklahoma are currently on the lookout for a mother and daughter following severe storms that swept through Major County on Thursday night. The Major County Sheriff’s Office revealed that a woman driving near State Highway 60 and 243, west of Fairview, lost contact with someone she was speaking to over the phone in that vicinity. Fairview Emergency Manager Danny Giager mentioned that the woman's daughter was also accompanying her during the incident, and efforts are underway to locate them in the darkness caused by the power outage in the area. Despite reports of a tornado striking a home, only minor damage has been reported. The primary impact in the region has been fallen trees and downed power lines.
