Thaddeus LaGrone Joins Cast of Fox's Baywatch Reboot as Series Regular

Fox has announced that Thaddeus LaGrone has joined the cast of the upcoming series Baywatch as a series regular. The show, set to premiere in the 2026-2027 season, will feature a new cast taking on the iconic roles of lifeguards in Southern California. LaGrone will play Brad, a former Marine who returns to Venice Beach to care for his father and becomes a lifeguard. The show will focus on adrenaline-fueled rescues, relationships, and challenges faced by the lifeguards.
The series will star Stephen Amell as Hobie Buchannon, Jessica Belkin as Charlie Vale, and David Chokachi reprising his role as Cody Madison. Baywatch received a straight-to-series order of 12 episodes from Fox and is set to begin production this spring in Venice Beach and on the Fox Studio Lot in Century City. The original Baywatch series, which debuted in 1989, became a global phenomenon and launched the careers of several actors.
The new Baywatch is a co-production between Fox Entertainment and Fremantle, with showrunner Nix and executive producers McG, Michael Berk, Greg Bonann, Doug Schwartz, Dante Di Loreto, and Mike Horowitz. McG will direct the series premiere episode. Fox Entertainment Global holds domestic distribution rights, while Fremantle manages international sales. Thaddeus LaGrone is represented by Brave Artists Management and Goodman, Genow, Schenkman. The show promises to bring a fresh take on the beloved lifeguard drama with a new cast and modern twists.
