Abdul Jalloh, 32, was charged with second-degree murder for stabbing a mother to death at a bus stop in Fairfax County, Virginia. Despite warnings about Jalloh's dangerous nature, many of his previous criminal charges were dismissed by Fairfax County Commonwealth Attorney Steve Descano's office.

The victim, who did not agree to the plea deal, expressed fear for her safety and her children's well-being. Another case involved Reel, who was charged with sexual assault against a minor but was offered a plea deal due to missed evidentiary deadlines, resulting in a lenient sentence and no requirement to register as a sex offender.
