Braves' Pitcher Joey Wentz Suffers Leg Injury, Rotation Depth Tested

Joey Wentz of the Atlanta Braves suffered a right leg injury during a game against the Rays, but initial tests suggest that the injury may not be severe. Wentz injured himself while covering first base on a bunt attempt, and while he was carted off the field, he was able to move without assistance. The Braves' rotation depth has already been tested this spring with injuries to Spencer Schwellenbach and Hurston Waldrep, who are both on the injured list. Wentz was competing for the fifth spot in the rotation and had performed well in Grapefruit League games. If Wentz is sidelined, Bryce Elder or Martin Perez could step in as the fifth starter.
