Brian May to Rock the Soundtrack of Masters of the Universe Movie and Queen II Collector's Edition Reissue
Queen guitarist Brian May has announced his involvement in the soundtrack of the upcoming He-Man movie, Masters of the Universe. The film, which has seen various changes in production over the years, is now set to be released on June 5 in the United States. The movie stars Nicholas Galitzine as He-Man, Jared Leto as Skeletor, and Idris Elba as Man-at-Arms. The storyline follows Prince Adam as he returns to Eternia to save his world from the rule of Skeletor with the help of his allies Teela and Man-At-Arms.
Queen fans can also look forward to the release of a remixed and remastered 'collectors edition' of the band's second album, Queen II, on March 27. Recorded in 1974, the album marked a significant shift in the band's musical direction. The reissue will include a 5 CD plus 2LP box set with previously unheard outtakes, demos, live tracks, and BBC radio sessions, providing fans with an intimate look into Queen's recording process. Queen II is considered one of the band's heaviest albums and showcases their evolution as musicians.
