2026 AcceptAbility Gala Celebrates Abilities of Individuals with Down Syndrome and Honors Advocates

The Global Down Syndrome Foundation (GLOBAL) has announced that the 2026 AcceptAbility Gala will feature performances by Emmy Award-winning singer-songwriter Rachel Platten and GLOBAL Ambassador Crystal Muro. The gala aims to celebrate the abilities of individuals with Down syndrome and raise awareness about federally funded research, including the DeOndra Dixon INCLUDE Project Act. Sen. Shelley Moore Capito and Rep. Paul D. Tonko will be honored with GLOBAL's highest distinction, the Quincy Jones Exceptional Advocacy Award, for their support of federal research funding and policies benefiting people with Down syndrome.
Crystal Muro, a GLOBAL Ambassador, will deliver a keynote address at the gala, highlighting the contributions of individuals with Down syndrome to their communities. The event will be co-emceed by journalists Kyra Phillips and John Roberts and will feature a reception, celebrity red carpet, dinner, live auction, and performances by RhythmXpress and Robert Wallop. Rachel Platten will close the evening with a performance of her empowering songs.
The AcceptAbility Gala raises funds to support GLOBAL's advocacy, research, and medical care initiatives for individuals with Down syndrome. The event brings together policymakers, scientists, corporate leaders, celebrities, and the Down syndrome community to promote inclusion, innovation, and improved health outcomes.
