Introducing Lego Luigi & Mach 8: The Newest Addition to the Lego Mario Kart Lineup
Luigi is finally joining the Lego Mario Kart lineup with his own deluxe set, as announced by Nintendo and The Lego Group on Mario Day. The new 2,234-piece set features a buildable Lego Luigi figure with posable head, arms, and hands, along with his Mach 8 kart. The set allows for dynamic, race-ready angles with a steering wheel that turns the front wheels and spinning flame exhaust for playful movement.
The Lego Mario Kart - Luigi & Mach 8 set is priced at $179.99 and measures over 10 inches high, 16 inches long, and 9 inches wide when fully built. It is available for pre-order now and will be shipped on April 1, coinciding with the release of The Super Mario Galaxy Movie in theaters. While the set does not include Luigi's iconic Death Stare from Mario Kart 8, the green brother appears cheerful behind the wheel of the Mach 8.
Nintendo and Lego have a longstanding partnership that has produced over 20 Super Mario-themed sets, including interactive play sets, large-scale characters like Bowser, and retro Mario and Yoshi sprites. The collaboration has expanded to include the first-ever Pokémon Lego sets earlier this year.
