Art House Cinema Week New York: Celebrating Independent Film and Community Engagement
The NYC Mayor’s Office of Media and Entertainment, in collaboration with Art House New York, has introduced the first-ever Art House Cinema Week New York. This event, scheduled from March 20 to 26, offers 5,000 free tickets to participating theaters, along with discounted screenings, memberships, and concessions. Rafael Espinal, the newly appointed MOME Commissioner, emphasized the importance of supporting the creative economy and providing access to art for all New Yorkers.
Eligible individuals for the free tickets include NYC teachers, CUNY students, military personnel, veterans, people with disabilities, SNAP/EBT cardholders, and NYC families registered with Cool Culture. Advance tickets are currently available, and Espinal highlighted the significance of Cinema Week in allowing more New Yorkers to enjoy the magic of cinema while supporting local theaters.
