Gene Simmons Criticizes Celebrities Discussing Politics: Keep Your Opinions to Yourself

Gene Simmons of KISS fame recently shared his thoughts on celebrities discussing politics in a TMZ interview. He criticized famous individuals like Ben Stiller for voicing their opinions on President Donald Trump, suggesting that actors and comedians should focus on their art and refrain from sharing their political views. Simmons emphasized that hardworking Americans are not interested in being lectured by wealthy celebrities and urged those in the entertainment industry to keep their opinions to themselves.
Simmons humorously mentioned Mark Ruffalo, who is known for his political commentary, and suggested that people should not care about celebrities' political stances. He playfully mentioned Kylie Jenner as an example of someone whose political opinions might not be relevant. Simmons concluded by stating that celebrities should avoid discussing politics altogether, highlighting his belief that their views are not significant in the grand scheme of things.
While Simmons has previously expressed varying opinions about Trump, including praising him for his impact on the political system, he has also criticized the former president for causing division in the country. Despite his mixed views on Trump, Simmons acknowledged the honor of being selected by the president for a Kennedy Center Honor in 2025, recognizing KISS as a symbol of the American dream.
