Texans Sign Tight End Foster Moreau to Bolster Roster

The Houston Texans have signed free agent tight end Foster Moreau, as reported by NFL Network. This move bolsters the Texans' tight end group, with Dalton Schultz as the current starter. Moreau, 28, played 11 games for the New Orleans Saints in 2025 after recovering from a knee injury sustained in the 2024 season finale. He recorded seven receptions for 59 yards last season and missed the final two games due to a non-serious ankle injury. The Saints recently acquired veteran tight end Noah Fant during free agency negotiations.

Foster Moreau has been with the New Orleans Saints for the past three seasons, joining them as a free agent in 2023. Prior to that, he spent four seasons with the Raiders, who drafted him in the fourth round in 2019 out of LSU. In 2024, Moreau matched his career-high of five receiving touchdowns before his injury. In the spring of 2023, he took a brief hiatus from football after being diagnosed with Hodgkin lymphoma during a physical with the Saints. However, he announced in July 2023 that his cancer was in full remission.

The addition of Foster Moreau to the Houston Texans' roster brings experience and depth to their tight end position. With his proven ability to contribute both in the passing game and as a blocker, Moreau will be a valuable asset to the team. Texans fans can look forward to seeing him make an impact on the field in the upcoming season.
