Unveiling the Power of the Anti-Carnage: Venom #255 Explored

Marvel Comics recently unveiled the reason behind the golden emblem on the All-New Venom, shedding light on a new power for the anti-hero. In Venom #255, written by Al Ewing and illustrated by Carlos Gomez, the Death Spiral crossover with Amazing Spider-Man continues as Eddie Brock, bonded to the Carnage symbiote, hunts down a costumed serial killer named Torment. Little does he know that Carnage has been communicating with Torment and leading him towards Eddie, Peter Parker, and Mary Jane Watson.
As Peter and Mary Jane team up to track down Torment after he kills the classic Spider-Man villain Shocker, they stumble upon Carnage, unaware that he is currently bonded to Eddie. Venom confronts Carnage, revealing that the golden elements of his appearance are remnants of the Anti-Carnage, a magical metal created by a future version of Dylan Brock known as Old Man Dylan. Crafted from Molten Man's blood, chaos magic, and Dwarven craftsmanship, Eganrac was designed to poison the Carnage symbiote and its host.
Despite the lethal nature of Eganrac, Venom survived the encounter and bonded with it, making his touch toxic to Carnage and his host. However, this also led to a near-fatal confrontation between Venom and Eddie Brock, who was unknowingly bonded to Carnage at the time. Venom #255 delves into this intense storyline, now available at comic shops for fans to explore.
