£1 Million Drug Gang Apprehended in Warwickshire: The Inside Story

A drug gang worth £1 million was apprehended in Warwickshire after being caught in the act. The gang, consisting of Roberto Cataldo, Parminder Grewal, Tomas Kiaulakys, and Gabriele Trinkunaite, was involved in transporting large quantities of cocaine across the country. Their operation came to an end when Cataldo and Trinkunaite were observed driving back from London to Birmingham and met up with Grewal in a car park in Coleshill, North Warwickshire. The police witnessed them exchanging large packages between their vehicles before driving off together.
The police initiated a pursuit, resulting in Grewal being stopped and arrested in Lichfield Road after throwing a bag containing three to four kilograms of cocaine out of the car window. Another kilo of cocaine was found inside his vehicle. Cataldo managed to escape during the chase but was later intercepted driving towards Walsall. Trinkunaite was also apprehended in a car driven by Kiaulakys, where ten packages of cocaine, each weighing one kilo and marked with "888", were discovered. Phone messages between the four individuals revealed their extensive plans to distribute cocaine.
The ten blocks of cocaine seized from Trinkunaite and Kiaulakys were estimated to be worth £1,000,000. Subsequently, all four individuals were charged by the West Midlands Regional Organised Crime Unit (ROCWM). In a court hearing at Birmingham Crown Court, Parminder Grewal was sentenced to five years and five months, Roberto Cataldo to six years and eleven months, Tomas Kiaulakys to five years and ten months, and Gabriele Trinkunaite to seven years and eight months for their involvement in the conspiracy to supply Class A drugs and possession with intent to supply.
