Bam Bam: A Nostalgic Culinary Journey in Downtown Vancouver

A fresh dining experience is on its way to downtown Vancouver, introducing a unique menu that may catch your attention. Bam Bam, the upcoming eatery, will offer a variety of dishes including fried chicken, glazed doughnuts, savory sandwiches, and signature cocktails like Apple Pie & Rye, Pecan Pie Old Fashioned, and Hot Honey Margarita. The concept aims to bring back the classic flavors that people have grown up enjoying and still crave today, creating a future nostalgic vibe that celebrates familiar food and energy.

Founded by Jess Reno, Bam Bam is set to be an "all-day concept" from the team behind Nemesis, a local food company known for its popular Nemesis Coffee shops across Vancouver, North Vancouver, Surrey, and Coquitlam, as well as Dope Bakehouse in North Van. Drawing inspiration from design, food, and cultural moments that evoke North American nostalgia, the new eatery will be situated near B.C. Place stadium at 160 West Georgia St. Spanning 2,800 square feet, Bam Bam will accommodate 55 guests and feature decor inspired by baseball clubhouses and early hip-hop, with leather seating that exudes a 1960s aesthetic.

Scheduled to open on April 1, Bam Bam taps into the trend of combining sweet doughnuts with savory treats, following in the footsteps of popular Vancouver spots like Duffin’s Donuts and Cream Pony in North Vancouver. The city's doughnut scene has seen a mix of closures and new openings, with local favorites like Lee’s Donuts expanding while others like Cartems have bid farewell. It's a bittersweet journey for doughnut enthusiasts in Vancouver, with a range of options to explore.

Discover a selection of Metro Vancouver doughnut shops to satisfy your cravings and experience the unique flavors that each establishment has to offer. Get ready to indulge in a delightful culinary adventure at Bam Bam and immerse yourself in a blend of nostalgic and contemporary dining experiences.
