Wakeman and Son Tour: A Musical Journey Through Yes and Beyond
Rick Wakeman embarked on his Wakeman and Son Tour, featuring Oliver Wakeman, a former member of Yes. The concert included a selection of Yes songs like "Roundabout," "And You and I," "Awaken," and "Wonderous Stories." They also performed tracks from Rick Wakeman's solo album "Journey to the Centre of the Earth" and a cover of David Bowie's "Life on Mars?". The tour, which started in Connecticut, will continue through the end of the month, following Wakeman's recovery from brain surgery in November. Some shows were rescheduled from the postponed 2025 Strictly Wakeman Tour with Hayley Sanderson. This tour marks the first time Rick Wakeman and his son have performed together, despite both having been in Yes at different times. Oliver Wakeman was part of Yes from 2008 to 2011 and has collaborated with his father on various occasions, including a 2016 concert at the O2 Arena in London. Yes recently announced an expanded edition of From a Page, featuring additional recordings from 2010 sessions, set for release on April 24.
