Maslany, known for her role as Jennifer Walters/She-Hulk in the Disney+ series "She-Hulk: Attorney at Law," is set to reprise her character in the upcoming film.
Fans had high hopes for Maslany's She-Hulk character to become a prominent figure in the MCU, but her absence from the screen for four years left many wondering about her future. Despite this, Maslany's return to the MCU has now been confirmed, dispelling rumors of her disinterest in working with Disney.
In a recent podcast appearance, Maslany sarcastically addressed the rumors of her departure from the MCU, stating that she had declined the opportunity to play She-Hulk again. However, recent reports suggest that Maslany will indeed be part of Sam Wilson's new Avengers team in Doomsday.
Maslany joins a growing list of returning actors for Avengers: Doomsday, including Brie Larson, Teyonah Parris, and Elizabeth Olsen. The film, set to take place 14 months after the events of Thunderbolts, is penned by Michael Waldron and Stephen McFeely, with the Russo brothers returning as directors. Robert Downey Jr. leads the ensemble cast as Victor von Doom/Doctor Doom.
Avengers: Doomsday is slated for release on December 18, 2026, marking the beginning of Phase 6 in the MCU. The anticipation for the film continues to build as more familiar faces from the MCU are confirmed to make a return.
