StubHub Refund Update: Taylor Swift's Eras Tour Resale Ticket Holders May Receive Refunds

If you purchased resale tickets for Taylor Swift's Eras Tour through StubHub, there is a chance you could receive a refund. Many fans were disappointed to find that their seats had obstructed or limited views of the stage at the concert. An investigation by Consumer Protection BC revealed that StubHub Canada had violated transparency requirements under BC's Ticket Sales Act. As a result, an agreement was reached between the two parties on February 23rd, 2026.
The investigation uncovered issues with how ticket information was communicated to consumers. StubHub failed to clearly disclose the full cost of tickets, including additional fees, taxes, and service charges. Furthermore, the terms and conditions were not clearly stated, leading to customers receiving tickets that did not match their description. Louise Hartland, director of public relations for Consumer Protection BC, emphasized the importance of providing clear and accurate information to consumers before they make a purchase.
If you attended the Vancouver shows from December 6th to 8th, 2024, and purchased tickets in specific sections with obstructed or limited views, you may be eligible for a refund. StubHub has committed to contacting eligible individuals by May 1st to facilitate the reimbursement process. In addition to refunding attendees, the company is required to pay $2,500 to the Consumer Advancement Fund and over $6,000 in inspection costs to Consumer Protection BC.
If you bought resale tickets for the Vancouver shows, be sure to check your email for updates on your eligibility for a refund. Transparency and consumer rights are at the forefront of this agreement, ensuring that concert-goers receive the refunds they are entitled to.
