Stokes has a rich background in Bay Area theater, having worked with various local theater groups like San Francisco Playhouse, Marin Theatre Company, Aurora Theatre, and TheatreWorks Silicon Valley. She also has a connection to the American Conservatory Theater in San Francisco and has pursued her career in New York City, including Broadway endeavors.
Growing up in the Bay Area, Stokes frequented the Orpheum Theatre to watch touring Broadway shows, making her upcoming performance there a special homecoming experience. A graduate of Mission San Jose High School in Fremont, Stokes comes from a family deeply rooted in theater, with her mother, Lori Stokes, serving as the founding artistic director of the youth performing arts group StarStruck in Fremont.
