2026 FIFA World Cup Matches Confirmed at Gillette Stadium in Foxboro, Massachusetts

Gillette Stadium in Foxboro, Massachusetts, has been confirmed as a host venue for the 2026 FIFA World Cup. The Foxboro Select Board has granted an entertainment license for the seven matches scheduled to be held at the stadium in June and July. An agreement was reached between the Boston Host Committee (Boston 26), the Kraft Sports Group, and the Foxboro Select Board, ensuring that the town will not bear any financial burden for the tournament. Boston 26 will cover security-related expenses with the support of the Kraft Sports Group, allowing the town's police and fire departments to maintain public safety during the event.

After a series of discussions, the issue of who would cover the $7.8 million security costs for hosting the games has been resolved. Initially, the board hesitated to grant an entertainment license to Boston 26 due to concerns about the nonprofit's ability to cover the upfront costs. The first match at Gillette Stadium, renamed "Boston Stadium" for the tournament, is set to kick off on June 13.
