Community Mourns Tragic Loss of 6-Year-Old Boy in Memphis Traffic Accident

Tragedy struck in Tennessee as a 6-year-old boy lost his life after being hit by a vehicle on Signal Street and Whitney Avenue in Memphis. The child was playing with a ball and ran into the street to retrieve it when the accident occurred. Despite being rushed to a nearby hospital in critical condition, the boy succumbed to his injuries.
The driver involved in the crash stayed at the scene but was found to be driving with a suspended license and without insurance. Initially facing charges, the driver had those charges dropped after a hearing with Judge Karen Massey. The Shelby County District Attorney’s Office is continuing its investigation into the incident.
