Ricardo Pepi Set to Join Fulham: A Rising Star's Journey to the Premier League
Fulham is set to acquire USMNT striker Ricardo Pepi from PSV Eindhoven for a reported fee of $42 million, as per Fabrizio Romano. The 23-year-old forward, who has scored 13 goals in 27 matches this season, will make the move to Fulham in preparation for the upcoming 2026-27 Premier League season. Pepi began his professional career with North Texas SC in 2019 before moving to FC Dallas in MLS. He then transferred to FC Augsburg in Germany in January 2022 and later spent a season on loan at FC Groningen in the Eredivisie.
During his time at Groningen, Pepi impressed with 13 goals in 31 appearances, prompting PSV to secure his services for $9.8 million in July 2023. The striker signed a five-year contract with the Dutch club and has since been a key player in their squad. Pepi has also represented the U.S. national teams at various levels, scoring six goals in 17 appearances for the U-17 team and netting 13 goals in 34 games for the senior team. Despite missing out on the 2022 World Cup squad, Pepi has continued to be a part of the national team setup under head coach Mauricio Pochettino.
With his impressive performances both domestically and internationally, Pepi's move to Fulham is seen as a significant step in his career. The young striker's goal-scoring ability and potential have caught the attention of clubs across Europe, and his inclusion in the U.S. national team setup highlights his importance to the team's future. Pepi's upcoming transfer to Fulham is expected to further enhance his development and provide him with a platform to showcase his talent in one of the top leagues in the world.
