Disney Announces Release Dates for Lilo & Stitch 2 and Incredibles 3 in Summer 2028
Disney has officially announced the release dates for two highly anticipated sequels in the summer of 2028. The sequel to the live-action remake of the beloved animated classic, Lilo & Stitch 2, is set to hit theaters on May 26, 2028. Following closely behind, Pixar's Incredibles 3 will be released on June 16, 2028. The announcement was made by incoming Disney CEO Josh D'Amaro.
Last summer's successful live-action remake of Lilo & Stitch was directed by Dean Fleischer Camp, and the sequel will be written by Chris Sanders, the original co-creator and voice of Stitch. On the other hand, Incredibles 3 will see Elemental director Peter Sohn taking over from Brad Bird, who directed the first two installments of the animated superhero series.
