Philadelphia Eagles Sign Running Back Dameon Pierce: A New Addition to the Backfield
The Philadelphia Eagles have signed running back Dameon Pierce to a one-year deal. Pierce, a former fourth-round pick from the University of Florida, previously played for the Houston Texans and the Kansas City Chiefs. Standing at 5-foot-10 and weighing 215 pounds, Pierce had a standout rookie season with 939 rushing yards and four touchdowns, along with 30 receptions for 165 yards and a touchdown. He had a career-high 176 rushing yards in a game against the Titans in 2024.
During his college career, Pierce amassed 1,806 rushing yards and 24 touchdowns, averaging 5.5 yards per carry. He also contributed 422 receiving yards and five touchdown catches. Pierce will be joining a talented running back group in Philadelphia that includes Saquon Barkley, Tank Bigsby, Will Shipley, and Carson Steele.
