Revolutionizing Parkinson's Disease Research: Annovis Bio Inc. Partners with NeuroRPM for AI-Driven Digital Biomarker Integration

Annovis Bio Inc. (NYSE: ANVS) has partnered with NeuroRPM to integrate AI-driven digital biomarker technology into its ongoing Parkinson's disease research. The collaboration will utilize NeuroRPM's FDA-cleared platform to track movement data and symptoms in the ANVS-25002 study, which is currently enrolling participants at 25 sites in the United States for a 36-month trial. The platform uses wearable sensors and AI analytics to monitor bradykinesia, tremor, and dyskinesia in real-time.
The partnership aims to enhance data collection and disease progression monitoring throughout the trial by leveraging NeuroRPM's digital platform. The technology offers features such as medication tracking, schedule reminders, and passive data collection to reduce patient burden. NeuroRPM's CEO, Atila Omer, highlighted the benefits of continuous wearable monitoring for objective measurement in real-world settings.
In addition to the digital biomarker technology, Annovis is incorporating a biomarker test for misfolded phosphorylated alpha-synuclein through a minimally invasive skin procedure. The company's assay reportedly provides high diagnostic sensitivity and specificity exceeding 90 percent. NeuroRPM, based in Washington D.C., has received FDA 510(k) clearance for its technology platform, which collects motion data during daily activities to offer insights into symptom patterns and treatment response over time.
Upon completion of the study, participants may have the opportunity to continue using NeuroRPM technology for clinical monitoring through a prescription. The collaboration between Annovis Bio Inc. and NeuroRPM represents a significant advancement in leveraging AI-powered digital biomarker technology for Parkinson's disease research and monitoring.
