Sonic the Hedgehog 4: Meet the Star-Studded Voice Cast

Ben Kingsley and Nick Offerman have joined the voice cast of the upcoming movie "Sonic the Hedgehog 4," which stars Ben Schwartz as the speedy protagonist. The new cast members include Jim Carrey, Kristen Bell, Idris Elba, Keanu Reeves, James Marsden, Tika Sumpter, Matt Berry, Colleen O’Shaughnessey, Lee Majdoub, and Richard Ayoade. Kristen Bell will voice Amy Rose, a character with a crush on Sonic.
The plot details of the fourth installment of the Sonic movie series are being kept secret. The returning cast members include Idris Elba and Colleen O’Shaughnessey as Knuckles and Tails, respectively, while Keanu Reeves voices Shadow. Jim Carrey plays the main antagonist, Dr. Robotnik, with James Marsden and Tika Sumpter portraying Sonic's adoptive parents.
The previous three films in the live-action/CGI hybrid series have been highly successful, grossing over $1 billion worldwide. Jeff Fowler, the director of the previous films, is returning to direct "Sonic the Hedgehog 4," scheduled for release on March 19, 2027. The franchise's popularity is evident with plans for a spinoff series titled "Knuckles" on Paramount+ and an untitled "Sonic Universe Event Film" set for December 22, 2028.
