Gered Mankowitz, a renowned photographer, began his successful career at the young age of 15. Encouraged by the late actor Peter Sellers, Mankowitz ventured into photography and captured the essence of iconic actors, personalities, and musicians of the 20th century. Starting as an apprentice in London's top photography studios, he eventually established his own studio and delved into the music industry. Mankowitz had the privilege of photographing notable figures like Marianne Faithfull, Jimi Hendrix, Duran Duran, Elton John, and the Rolling Stones, whom he toured with during their early days of fame. Alongside his photography work, Mankowitz also engages in teaching, exhibitions, and collaborations with various clients, all while continuing to document the world of music.
