John Lennon's Iconic 1965 Rolls-Royce Phantom V: A Legendary Ride Restored

Some cars gain extra fame and coolness due to their famous owners, like John Lennon's 1965 Rolls-Royce Phantom V. This particular model was used to promote the launch of the "White Album" in 1968. Lennon customized the car with a white respray, all-white interior, white steering wheel, and a fitted telephone, which cost him a significant amount. After Lennon, the car was sold to Allen Klein in 1969 for a substantial sum. Despite rumors of a similar abandoned Rolls-Royce in Pensacola, Florida, it was later confirmed not to be Lennon's car.
The actual Lennon Phantom V resurfaced in 2016, with impeccable provenance linking it back to Lennon through Allen Klein and his son, Jody Klein. The car was restored to its original Lennon specifications, including the white interior, paintwork, and steering wheel. It retained its original registration, EUC 100C, and won a "Best In Class" award at a Rolls-Royce concours event in 2016. While it may not reach the same level of fame as its psychedelic sister, this restored Phantom V ensures Lennon fans can rest easy knowing the car is in good hands and has been brought back to its former glory.
