Taylor Hicks Offers Support to Kelly Clarkson After American Idol Car Controversy

American Idol Season 5 winner Taylor Hicks recently showed support for Season 1 winner Kelly Clarkson after she revealed that she never received the car promised as part of her prize for winning the show. During an interview with The Traitors winner Rob Rausch on her talk show, Clarkson expressed her disappointment in not receiving the car she was supposed to get as part of her victory in the first season of American Idol. She was surprised to learn that Season 2 runner-up Clay Aiken received two cars, one for himself and one for his mother. In response to Clarkson's comments, Hicks, who won Season 5 of American Idol, offered to help her find a new Mustang.
Hicks, a fan of Kelly Clarkson and her incredible voice, expressed his willingness to assist her in finding a new car. His public statement to Page Six indicated his support for Clarkson and his offer to help her locate a replacement for the missing prize. Hicks later shared a screenshot of an article about his comment on Instagram, playfully hinting at Clarkson to give him a call.
Kelly Clarkson, who has been single since her divorce from Brandon Blackstock in 2020, has been candid about her dating life. Following Blackstock's passing last August after battling cancer, Clarkson has focused on raising their two children. She has shared her reluctance to date again, citing the challenges of dating in the spotlight. Despite expressing her enjoyment of being single and her children's reluctance to see her with someone new, Clarkson has hinted at the possibility of seeking love in the future.
