Isabel and Chris's love story began unexpectedly when they both moved from New York City to Palm Beach during Covid and found themselves living in the same building. Their relationship blossomed, leading them to purchase their first home together in East Hampton by the summer of 2022. The wedding weekend was deeply intertwined with their new home, with an intimate backyard ceremony and a reception at Si Si along Three Mile Harbor.
The ceremony, attended by about 100 guests, was officiated by two close friends and was described as unique and heartfelt. The reception at Si Si provided a picturesque setting with sailboats, cocktails, and an East Hampton sunset. Isabel, a graphic designer specializing in wedding invitations, curated the wedding aesthetic with soft blues, muted greens, and natural textures, aiming for a sophisticated, timeless, and approachable feel.
The stationery design, from invitations to place cards, told a cohesive story and included personalized touches like custom tote bags and embroidered patch hats for guests. The seating chart installation honored loved ones who had passed, adding a thoughtful and personal element to the celebration. Isabel's wedding dress, a lace appliqué gown by Pnina Tornai, was elegant and timeless, while her reception dress, the Essy silk dress by Nili Lotan, was simple and fluid with a unique tassel trim belt.
The wedding reception featured family-style dinner, live music by Louis Middleton during dinner, and a lively dance floor with indie pop band St. Lucia. The couple trusted their photographer, Halsey Pierce, to capture the natural beauty of the surroundings, resulting in cinematic and authentic imagery that reflected the essence of the weekend. The celebration was a perfect blend of personal touches, elegant design, and heartfelt moments, creating a memorable and magical wedding weekend in East Hampton.
