Bring Back the Music: Arbor Heights Elementary School's Fundraising Auction to Restore the Music Program

Arbor Heights Elementary School is seeking community assistance to restore its music program for the upcoming school year. The school had to make tough choices due to budget cuts, resulting in the elimination of the music program. The absence of music has been keenly felt by students, families, and staff, as it plays a vital role in building confidence, fostering connections, sparking joy, and enhancing learning.

To address this issue, the Arbor Heights PTSA has chosen "Bring Back the Music!" as the theme for this year's auction. The PTSA aims to raise funds to reinstate the school's music program. The annual auction is scheduled for March 28, 2026, at The Hall at Fauntleroy and will feature dinner, games, a live auction, an online silent auction, and a raise-the-paddle fundraiser.

The fundraising efforts have garnered attention from musician Eddie Vedder, who generously donated a Fender electric guitar signed by all five members of Pearl Jam, as well as a poster signed by the band. The signed guitar will be a highlight of the live auction on March 28. Although the event is sold out, individuals can still support the cause by participating in proxy/remote bidding for the live auction, including the signed guitar. For proxy bidding inquiries, contact [email protected].

Community members can also show their support by making monetary donations through the Arbor Heights PTSA or by participating in the online silent auction. Your contribution will make a difference in bringing music back to Arbor Heights Elementary School.
