Brian Setzer's Triumph: Overcoming Health Struggles for a Stray Cats Summer Tour

Brian Setzer has shared harrowing details about his recent health struggles as he prepares for an unexpected Stray Cats summer tour. Last year, he disclosed his battle with an autoimmune disease that left him in excruciating pain and led to a dependency on Kratom, an herbal tonic. Setzer struggled to perform basic tasks and play the guitar due to the nerve damage caused by his condition. After seeking treatment at the Mayo Clinic, he gradually regained the ability to play the guitar and perform again.
Setzer's journey to recovery was challenging but ultimately successful. He regained the use of his hands and fingers, allowing him to hold a guitar pick and play again. Following a canceled tour announcement, Setzer sought help at the Hazelden Betty Ford clinic in Minnesota to overcome his addiction to Kratom. He emphasized the dangers of the herbal tonic and the importance of seeking proper treatment to address health issues.
Despite his health setbacks, Setzer is gearing up for a summer tour with the Stray Cats, featuring Lee Rocker and Slim Jim Phantom. The tour is set to begin in late July and will include 16 shows throughout August. Setzer's resilience and determination to overcome his health challenges serve as an inspiration as he prepares to return to the stage with his bandmates.
