Carly Pearce and Riley Green Team Up for New Duet "If I Don't Leave I'm Gonna Stay
Carly Pearce and Riley Green have joined forces for a fresh duet titled “If I Don’t Leave I’m Gonna Stay,” penned by Devin Dawson, Seth Ennis, Jordan Minton, and Jordan Reynolds. Pearce hinted at the collaboration on social media before sharing a snippet that piqued fans' interest. The track is part of Pearce’s upcoming fifth studio album, alongside recent releases like “Church Girl” and “Dream Come True.”
The duo co-produced the song, with Pearce expressing her enthusiasm for working with Green, stating, “Collaborating with artists I admire is a highlight for me. I’ve been a fan of Riley’s for a long time, and I knew this moment would be special. ‘If I Don’t Leave I’m Gonna Stay’ is the perfect opportunity for us!” Green also shared his excitement, mentioning, “I’ve been a big fan of Carly and her voice for a while, so it was great to receive her text about this song. The harmonies were unique, and there was something really special about it. I’m grateful she thought of me for this track; it’s fantastic to collaborate.”
The music video, directed by Wes Edwards, premiered alongside the song, reflecting the tension in the track as the pair deliberates whether to continue their evening together or go their separate ways, leaving the decision to viewers. Pearce is gearing up for an active touring schedule, with performances in Australia at the CMC Rocks festival and a tour in the U.K. and Ireland for her Inside The Dream Tour, culminating in a special show at the renowned Royal Albert Hall during the Highways Festival.
