Ja Morant Out for Season with UCL Sprain: Recovery Expected for 2026-27 Season

Memphis Grizzlies star guard Ja Morant will miss the remainder of the season due to a UCL sprain in his left elbow, as confirmed by the team on Tuesday. Morant, a standout player, appeared in just 20 games this season. Despite exploring trade options before the trade deadline, the Grizzlies did not receive significant interest from other teams. The injury occurred on Jan. 21, shortly after Morant returned from a calf injury. Following a consultation, Morant will undergo a platelet-rich plasma injection to aid in ligament healing. He is anticipated to be fully recovered for the start of the 2026-27 season.
