Robert F. Kennedy Jr. Makes Headlines by Ditching Arm Sling at Press Conference

The Secretary of Health and Human Services, Robert F. Kennedy Jr., was recently spotted without his arm sling during a press conference after undergoing surgery to repair his rotator cuff. Kennedy had initially been seen wearing a black sling at an event celebrating agriculture at the U.S. Department of Agriculture. Despite doctors' recommendations to keep the arm immobilized in a sling for four to six weeks post-surgery, Kennedy seemed to have removed it while speaking at the podium.
Kennedy, who is 72 years old, was appointed to oversee U.S. health policy, despite lacking qualifications and promoting conspiracy theories about vaccines and medical science. He has launched an initiative called MAHA, or "Make America Healthy Again," and has been photographed engaging in intense gym workouts shirtless, often with right-wing celebrities like Kid Rock.
At the agriculture event, Kennedy was joined by Agriculture Secretary Brooke Rollins, Dr. Mehmet Oz, North Dakota Sen. John Hoeven, and EPA administrator Lee Zeldin. The USDA introduced a new "Product of USA" label, ensuring consumers that the meat, poultry, and egg products they purchase are entirely made in the United States. These labeling rules were initially proposed during the Biden administration in 2024 but were recently finalized under the Trump administration.
