The Koreans": A Thrilling New Series on Disney+ and Hulu

Disney+ has started production on a new series called "The Koreans," a reimagining of the popular FX show "The Americans." The show follows Lee Byung-hun and Han Jimin as North Korean spies living undercover in South Korea during the early 1990s. The couple, posing as a regular family, must navigate their loyalty to their homeland, their identities, and their family bonds while being pursued by a relentless South Korean counterintelligence agent.
Lee Byung-hun, known for his roles in "Squid Game" and "No Other Choice," and Han Jimin, from "Heavenly Ever After" and "Love Scout," headline the cast. The series is directed by Ahn Gilho and produced by Imaginus and Studio AA. The screenplay is adapted by Park Eunkyo from the original FX series created by Joe Weisberg and Joel Fields.
"The Koreans" will be available exclusively on Disney+ internationally and on Hulu in the U.S. This series joins Disney+'s growing collection of Korean content, including "Made in Korea," "Tempest," and "The Tyrant." The streaming platform has more Korean originals in development, such as "Perfect Crown," "Portraits of Delusion," and "The Remarried Empress," as well as second seasons of "A Shop for Killers" and "Made in Korea."
