Pressure: A Gripping Portrayal of the Tense 72 Hours Before D-Day

D-Day, a pivotal moment in World War II history, has been portrayed in various Hollywood films, such as The Longest Day and Saving Private Ryan. Another upcoming film, Pressure, based on a West End play, is set to hit cinemas in September. The movie stars Brendan Fraser as Supreme Allied Commander Dwight D Eisenhower, with Andrew Scott playing Britain’s chief meteorological officer James Stagg and Kerry Condon as Eisenhower’s aide Captain Kay Summersby. Chris Messina and Damian Lewis also join the cast, depicting US Meteorologist Irving P Krick and Field Marshall Bernard Montgomery, respectively. The film follows the tense 72 hours before D-Day, where Eisenhower and Stagg must make a critical decision that could change the course of the war. Pressure is set to premiere in UK cinemas on September 9.
