Colman Domingo to Host "Saturday Night Live" with Anitta as Musical Guest

Colman Domingo is set to host the upcoming episode of “Saturday Night Live” on April 11, with Anitta as the musical guest. This will mark Domingo's first time hosting the show. He is known for his role as Ali in the HBO series “Euphoria,” where he plays a mentor to Zendaya's character Rue. Domingo's performance in the series earned him a drama guest acting Emmy in 2022. Additionally, he will be portraying Joe Jackson in the upcoming Michael Jackson biopic “Michael” and Danny in Netflix's “The Four Seasons.” Anitta, the “queen of Brazilian pop,” will also be making her debut on “SNL” with her recent single “Pinterest” from the album “Equlibrium.”
The episode featuring Domingo and Anitta will air just before the Season 3 premiere of “Euphoria.” Domingo's impressive credits include roles in AMC's “Fear the Walking Dead” and films like “Ma Rainey's Black Bottom,” “Zola,” “Rustin,” and “Sing Sing,” the last two of which earned him Academy Award nominations. Anitta, known for her vibrant pop music, is gearing up for the release of her new album. The upcoming “SNL” episode follows Jack Black's hosting gig with musical guest Jack White.
“Saturday Night Live” is a long-running sketch comedy show produced in association with Broadway Video, with Lorne Michaels as the creator and executive producer. The episode featuring Colman Domingo and Anitta promises to be an exciting addition to the show's lineup.
