Black Label Society's 'Engines Of Demolition' Album: A Heartfelt Tribute to Ozzy Osbourne

Black Label Society has recently released their latest album titled “Engines Of Demolition,” featuring a heartfelt tribute to the late Ozzy Osbourne by the band's frontman Zakk Wylde. The track, “Ozzy’s Song,” serves as a poignant homage to Wylde's mentor and former bandmate, Ozzy Osbourne, and is the closing piece on the band's twelfth studio album. Wylde took the time to process Ozzy's passing and funeral last summer before finalizing the lyrics for this emotional tribute.

Zakk Wylde, who had a close relationship with Ozzy Osbourne for many years, affectionately called him ‘The Boss.’ Their musical journey began in 1987 when Wylde first joined forces with the legendary heavy metal icon. Wylde also shared a personal connection to the song as he wrote a portion of it on his cherished 1981 Les Paul Custom The Grail guitar, a significant instrument that he once lost in transit but was thankfully returned by a fan. This guitar played a crucial role during Wylde's initial songwriting sessions with Ozzy.

In anticipation of the release of “Ozzy’s Song,” a special livestreamed event has been scheduled for this Friday, April 27th. The event will feature the first live performance of the tribute track and the premiere of its official music video. Fans can tune in to the free event on Veeps at 06:00pm PST / 09:00pm EST to witness this heartfelt tribute to the iconic Ozzy Osbourne. Additionally, the music video will be available for viewing on YouTube on Friday night, with specific timing details provided for fans to catch the premiere.
