The Edmonton Oilers have officially signed defenseman Tomas Cibulka to a two-year entry-level contract starting in the 2026-27 season. Cibulka, a 21-year-old blueliner from Ceske Budejovice, Czechia, has played for HC Motor Ceske Budejovice in the Czech top league for the past two seasons. During his time with the team, he has recorded 42 points in 90 regular-season games and 10 points in 13 playoff appearances.

Prior to his professional career in Czechia, Cibulka played junior hockey in Canada for three seasons in the QMJHL with the Val-d’Or Foreurs and Cape Breton Eagles from 2021 to 2024. In his junior career, he accumulated 102 points in 191 games, showcasing his offensive skills as a defenseman. Additionally, Cibulka represented Czechia at the 2024 World Junior Championship, where he contributed two goals in seven games to help his team secure a bronze medal.
