The Senate has reached a unanimous agreement to fund the Department of Homeland Security, excluding funding for immigration enforcement and deportation operations, in an effort to end the 40-day shutdown. This decision was made following a marathon session and President Donald Trump's announcement of immediate payment to Transportation Security Administration officers.
