Child Abduction Incident at Patchogue Laundromat: Man Arrested for Kidnapping
A man was apprehended for abducting a child from a laundromat in Patchogue, as per police reports. Carlos Corte, 38, allegedly took a 4-year-old girl from her mother at a laundromat on 138 East Main Street around noon. The mother reported the girl missing, prompting a search by law enforcement. Surveillance footage and community searches led to the girl's discovery at a nearby library. Corte was arrested by a police officer near the laundromat and charged with kidnapping. He is set to appear in court on March 29.
