The campaign has now shifted its focus to supporting his wife, Cristina, and their five-year-old daughter, Everest, as they navigate this difficult time.
The GoFundMe page has already surpassed its original goal, raising $103,810 out of a $95K target. Alex, who was the youngest of six children and of Vietnamese and Chinese descent, was a well-known figure in the Los Angeles comedy circuit. He worked at the Comedy Store on Sunset Strip and appeared on various shows, showcasing his talents in stand-up, acting, and writing.
