Blade Trilogy: A Half-Vampire's Battle for Humanity

Peacock is set to add three R-rated Marvel movies to its streaming library this week. The trilogy features Blade, a half-vampire hunter who battles supernatural foes while grappling with his own identity. Subscribers can enjoy the entire Blade trilogy—Blade, Blade II, and Blade: Trinity—on Peacock starting Wednesday, April 1, 2026.
Blade, also known as Daywalker, is a unique warrior who is part human and part vampire. His mission is to protect humanity by hunting down vampires. Endowed with the strengths of vampires but not their weaknesses due to his mother being bitten by a vampire while pregnant with him, Blade faces formidable adversaries like Deacon Frost and Dracula throughout the series.
The Blade trilogy was written by David S. Goyer, with the final installment directed by him. Stephen Norrington directed the original film, and Guillermo del Toro directed the sequel. Wesley Snipes portrays Blade in all three movies and also reprised his role in Deadpool & Wolverine, released in 2024. The supporting cast includes actors like Stephen Dorff, Kris Kristofferson, Donal Logue, and others.
The first Blade movie premiered in August 1998, followed by the sequel in March 2002 and the final installment in December 2004. While the trilogy received mixed reviews from critics, audiences generally had a more positive response. The original film holds a 59% Tomatometer score and a 78% Popcornmeter score on Rotten Tomatoes. Collectively, the trilogy has grossed over $418 million worldwide.
After the movies, a spin-off television series was developed by Goyer in 2006 but was canceled after one season. Sticky Fingaz Jones took on the role of Blade in the series, replacing Snipes. Fans of the Blade franchise can now enjoy the R-rated Marvel movies on Peacock for an action-packed viewing experience.
