Clemson University Men's Basketball Coaching Staff Undergoes Major Changes: Meet the New Assistants and Staff Updates

Clemson University's men's basketball team recently made some significant coaching staff changes. Head coach Brad Brownell swiftly filled three vacant positions on his staff by hiring new assistants Chad Warner, Chris Harriman, and Andre Morgan. The university's board of trustees officially approved the contracts for Warner and Harriman, who will each earn $400,000 per year on two-year deals through 2028. Morgan's hiring did not require board approval due to his salary falling below the threshold.

In addition to the new hires, Clemson also granted a raise and contract extension to returning assistant coach Sean Dixon, who will now earn $400,000 annually through 2028. These moves come after associate head coach Billy Donlon left for the Eastern Michigan coaching job, and longtime assistant Dick Bender retired. Special assistant Jeff Reynolds also stepped away from basketball, prompting the need for new hires.

Warner and Morgan will fill the vacancies left by Donlon and Bender as assistant coaches, while Harriman will take on Reynolds' former role as a quality control/support staff coach. The coaching staff changes mark a busy period for Brownell and the Clemson basketball program, as they prepare for the upcoming season.
