Fatal Two-Vehicle Crash in Xenia Township, Ohio: Tragedy Strikes at U.S. Route 42 and Hickman Road
A tragic two-vehicle crash occurred in Xenia Township, Ohio, resulting in a fatality on Sunday evening. The incident involved a 2004 Honda Accord and a 2022 Honda Civic at the intersection of U.S. Route 42 and Hickman Road. The Civic was attempting a left turn onto Hickman Rd. when it was struck by the Accord, causing both vehicles to veer off the road and into a ditch. The driver of the Civic, Melissa Fields, 49, from Wilmington, sustained life-threatening injuries and tragically passed away. The three occupants of the Accord, including two individuals from Reynoldsburg aged 19 and 20, suffered minor injuries and are expected to recover. The Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating the crash with support from the Greene County Sheriff’s Office.
