Double Shooting Incident in Baxter County Under Investigation
An investigation has been initiated by the Baxter County Sheriff's Office following a double shooting incident that occurred on the evening of Monday, March 30. Reports indicated that a disturbance was reported in the vicinity of Bayhill Place, where gunshots were heard after yelling was heard by a neighbor. Deputies responded to the scene and found a man who had been shot outside a residence. First aid was administered before he was transported to a nearby hospital. Another man involved in the incident had also been shot and was taken to a hospital by private vehicle. The altercation between the two men, aged 50 and 21, resulted from a dispute over a property boundary issue. Firearms belonging to both individuals were recovered at the scene and are now part of the investigation. The investigation is currently ongoing, and updates will be provided as they become available.
